The Memphis Grizzlies' five-game winning streak was halted Wednesday after losing to an undermanned Houston Rockets team. Even worse, their best player was in pain after the game.

Marc Gasol said his right knee hurt and that he will have to get it looked at to make sure it's nothing worse than a bone bruise, according to Rob Fischer of FOX.

"I don't know what it is," said Gasol, who was held to eight points in 25 minutes against a Rockets team that was without center Dwight Howard. "I'm not an MRI machine and we don't have one here. We'll find out (Thursday)."

It's a scary thought for the Grizzlies but fortunately it's not the same knee that he suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in last season, which ultimately forced him to miss six weeks.

Losing Gasol for any extended length of time would be a major blow for a 15-3 Memphis team. Gasol is a having a career year and has been one of the NBA's best players through the early stretch of the season.

The Grizzlies' center is averaging 20.1 points on 50.8 percent shooting from the field, while hauling in 8.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. His 23.56 PER ranks 10th in the NBA.
