Utah Jazz shooting guard Rodney Hood is out indefinitely with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, the team announced Thursday.
Hood will continue to receive treatment and be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks, the Jazz added.
The rookie, averaging 4.0 points in 15.2 minutes, hasn't played since a Nov. 7 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Hood said the injury was improving, but he has since taken a step backward in his recovery.
"Every step you feel like you’re walking on rocks or glass is poking you in your foot or something like that," Hood said, according to Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune.
