Those watching the Sacramento Kings take on the Denver Nuggets on Monday night witnessed history.
With 2:31 to play in an entertaining fourth quarter, Kenneth Faried tried to fight through a Rudy Gay-DeMarcus Cousins double screen, getting a little too physical in doing so. Looking for a late-game edge, Cousins and Gay both took it on themselves to exaggerate the call, while Faried himself played it up looking for a call of his own.
The result was a foul on Faried, but the far more important outcome was the rare triple-flop, with all three players looking a fool:
Nobody looks good here, though Cousins and Gay emerge the victors both for drawing the foul on Faried and ultimately winning the game.
