Derrick Rose sprains left ankle in loss to Cavaliers

Dennis Wierzbicki / USA Today Sports

Chicago Bulls fans are having a horrifying Halloween.

In the fourth quarter of the Bulls' game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Derrick Rose was taken out of the game and went back to the locker room, seemingly without having done anything. Earlier in the game, he had appeared to twist his left ankle, and the team announced that he is questionable to return due to a left ankle sprain.

The actual incident looked bad, but Rose was able to play nearly an entire half of basketball on the ankle. Hopefully that's a positive sign.

Even if the issue is minor, this has to scare the Bulls. Rose has managed just 49 games over the past three seasons due to a pair of knee injuries, and any injury is sure to cause panic.

Before being removed, Rose had scored 20 points with four assists in just 25 minutes, showing consistent flashes of the Rose of old. It would be a shame for Rose to lose any momentum, as he's finally started to shake some of his offseason rust off.
