Jenkins had his fourth-year option declined by the Hawks on Thursday, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Analysis:

Jenkins, who is still on his rookie deal after being selected in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft, will become an unrestricted free agent next summer as a result. Injuries have stalled his development, limiting him to just 13 games last season. Though Jenkins offers some intriguing skills from long range, he's buried on the depth chart at shooting guard behind Kyle Korver, Thabo Sefolosha and Kent Bazemore, which will probably prevent him from seeing much run with the Hawks in 2014-15.
