Ryan Anderson added 11 points off the bench and Omer Asik pulled down 11 rebounds for New Orleans, which led 49-29 at halftime before Washington used a big fourth quarter to make it close.

John Wall and Paul Pierce rested for the Wizards, who were paced in the setback by Kevin Seraphin's 14 points.
