Kevin Durant's intriguing summer is getting the reality TV treatment, as the reigning NBA MVP will star in an HBO special about his eventful offseason.

Durant pulled out of Team USA's FIBA World Cup of Basketball squad this summer and signed a new megadeal with Nike reportedly worth close to $300 million after considering an offer from Under Armour.

The reality series, entitled "The Offseason: Kevin Durant," is set to premiere on November 4.

According to HBO, the series will follow Durant from the night his Oklahoma City Thunder were eliminated from the postseason until the day he reported to the team's training camp.

It will be interesting to see if the show covers any of the advanced chatter surrounding Durant's 2016 free agency.

Durant's hometown Washington Wizards, among others, are expected to be in the running for his services if the four-time scoring champion considers leaving the Thunder. Just this summer, the Toronto Raptors were fined by the NBA after Global Ambassador, and rapper, Drake made comments about Durant playing in Toronto while Durant was in attendance at a concert.

Jamie Patricof, known for Hollywood films such as "Blue Valentine" and "The Place Beyond The Pines", will produce the reality series.

“Seeing how Kevin approaches the game of basketball was a truly inspiring experience,” Patricof said in an HBO release.

“The dedication to his craft, but more importantly who he is as a person and a human being, make him one of the most unique people I have had the opportunity to collaborate with. As a father of two girls, I am thankful that we have role models like Kevin. I am truly excited for people around the world to get a good look at who Kevin is and what makes him tick.”
