Analysis:

Beasley, who spent last season with the Heat, had little chance of making an impact with the Grizzlies this season, and signing overseas certainly presents more financial security. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 draft has been one of the more high profile busts in recent memory, but perhaps spending time overseas will allow the mercurial forward to reinvent himself. He's still young and full of potential, so there's a decent chance he returns to the NBA down the road.
