Faverani (knee) is set to practice during training camp, but could be limited during some of the sessions of two-a-days, NESN reports.

Analysis:

Faverani had surgery back in March to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee. It has recovered enough for him to start training camp on time, which is great news considering he's only going into his second season in the league. The Celtics will monitor his time on the court, and have him take some practices off in order to keep him fresh, and avoid the risk of re-injuring the knee. He'll slot in as a reserve center, fighting for a position in a crowded frontcourt with the likes of Kelly Olynyk, Tyler Zeller and Jared Sullinger. The injury doesn't help his chances of establishing more of a presence as a contributor, but we'll see what he can do once he's fully healthy.
