1988 - Kevin Durant is born
On a late September day in Washington, DC, Kevin Wayne Durant is born.
The incumbent NBA MVP would attend Montrose Christian School in Rockville, Maryland, before embarking on a one-year stop at the University of Texas. Durant is then drafted as 19-year old second overall by the Seattle Supersonics, before they are moved to Oklahoma City.
He would develop into one of the most dominant offensive forces in the league, winning four scoring titles in his first seven seasons in the league.
The only thing missing from the 26-year old's resume is an NBA championship.
