DeMarcus Cousins trades geography questions with reporter

DeMarcus Cousins may not know where to locate Slovenia on a map, but that probably won't be a factor when Team USA takes the court opposite the Dragic brothers et al. on Tuesday.

That didn't stop a European reporter from quizzing Cousins on his geography Monday. Cousins, as he's wont to do, fired back with some condescending humor:

Without any further detail, it's tough to tell whether either party was being facetious or just having some fun. And for anyone rushing to call the comparison unfair, yes, one is a country and the other a state, but Alabama is bigger than Slovenia in both size and population.

Luckily for all involved, Kirk Goldsberry of Grantland was willing to help each side sharpen their geography skills for future rounds of the map-off:
