Nic Batum tries to recruit Joel Embiid to play for the French National team
At full strength, the French National team is pretty strong at center, boasting the likes of Rudy Gobert, Alexis Ajinca and Joakim Noah.
But Noah isn't suiting up for this summer's FIBA World Cup, leaving the French shorthanded going into their quarter-final matchup with Spain. The Spanish, of course, have the Gasol brothers and Serge Ibaka manning the paint.
Forward Nic Batum, in recognizing the discrepancy, reached out to third overall pick Joel Embiid for some help.

Translation: Come play for us
However, as Embiid replied in a separate tweet, Embiid is Cameroonian, not French. And, of course, Embiid is currently rehabbing a foot injury.
You can't blame Batum for trying, though. A healthy Embiid would certainly help against Spain's formidable frontcourt.
