Analysis:

Moultrie missed a lot of time in 2013-14 while recovering from a left ankle injury, but even when he was healthy he played very rarely. Though the big men at the top of the 76ers' depth chart for 2014-15 may be less impressive than 2013-14's pairing, it's not the talent of the starters that impacts Moultrie. Moultrie is more affected by the addition a few reserve-caliber bigs. It's good that he will be given a chance to make the team, but it is a discouraging sign that his general manager thinks Moultrie is more likely to get bought out. Even if Moultrie does make the final roster, he is unlikely make an impact on any standard size leagues.
