Chandler Parsons and James Harden mend fences regarding 'role player' comments

Where's the beef?

There certainly isn't one between former teammates Chandler Parsons and James Harden, according to those involved.

Both players are currently in Las Vegas, competing for spots on Team USA's final 12-man roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup. The time together has allowed them to mend fences, as relayed by Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com.

Parsons revealed that the two have "been in the casinos together and everything." He also notes that they've, "talked about it and it’s in the past...there are no hard feelings.”

Harden played down the dispute as a whole, citing that, "there was never really any back and forth." He also clarified his statement about role players, telling Haynes that he wasn't referring to Chandler - only his teammates (not named Dwight Howard).

It was thought that Parsons took offense to Harden's comments regarding role players when Harden mused to the Philippine Star.

"Dwight (Howard) and I are the cornerstones of the Rockets,” said Harden. “The rest of the guys are role players or pieces that complete our team. We’ve lost some pieces and added some pieces. I think we’ll be fine next season.”
