After losing forwards Kevin Love and Blake Griffin in the span of a week, USA Basketball quickly filled the void in-part with the addition of Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap.

The 29-year-old Millsap possesses a similar skillset to Griffin and Love. Although he's not an All-NBA talent, Millsap can play inside-out, and rebound and pass, having averaged 17.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game last year in an All-Star campaign with the Hawks.

What's key for Millsap is his mobility and ability to shoot three-pointers. The international game is predicated on mobile stretch-fours operating from the perimeter, a profile that very much describes Millsap. He connected on 35.8 percent of his three-point tries last season.

Team USA is looking to finalize its roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup in September. Millsap faces competition in Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, Andre Drummond and Kenneth Faried in a tight race for one of 12 available roster spots.
