With the Orlando Magic reportedly on the verge of finalizing a deal with Luke Ridnour, the Charlotte Hornets officially confirmed Friday that another of their backup point guards won't be going anywhere.

Pargo's new contract is reportedly a fully-guaranteed one-year deal worth $1.45 million.

Last season saw the 34-year-old point guard sign with the Hornets - then Bobcats - for the remainder of the season following two 10-days contracts in March. During that time, he appeared in 29 contests, averaging 4.7 points and 1.8 assists over 8.3 minutes per game.

The Arkansas product will likely find himself as the Hornets' third-option point guard next season behind Kemba Walker and newly-acquired Brian Roberts.
