Houston Rockets guard James Harden has taken a hard hit this week after his comments that he and center Dwight Howard are the 'cornerstones' of the franchise, and that outgoing players - such as Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin - were 'role players'.

On Friday morning, Harden did a little Q&A on twitter, and the subject of role players and Parsons were brought up.

First things first, Harden has a 'takes one to know one' knowledge of what a role player is.

Just because there was a quote in an interview doesn't mean Harden and Parsons aren't friends.

And speaking of those quotes about Parsons, what quotes about Parsons? No idea what you're talking about.

It appears Harden doesn't consider the quote to be specifically damning to Parsons, or considers role players to be an underrated thing to be.

Either way, the presence of Parsons on the Dallas Mavericks will add extra spice to the Mavericks, Rockets rivalry next season.
