A suddenly expendable member of last year's Boston Celtics backcourt has apparently found a new home:

Bayless averaged 9.3 points, 2.7 assists and 0.8 steals in 72 games split between the Memphis Grizzlies and Celtics last season. The 25-year-old made just over $3.1 million in 2013-14.

Bayless' days in Beantown were numbered after the Celtics drafted Marcus Smart last month and reportedly guaranteed the contract of Phil Pressey earlier Tuesday. The duo is expected to back up starters Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley to open the season, leaving Bayless the odd man out.
