A ringing endorsement from the biggest name in Laker Land.

On Wednesday, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant called an impromptu press conference, and fielded a number of questions, including his thoughts on the idea of Byron Scott coaching the Lakers, to which he answered "Yep."

He went on to sing Scott's praises, noting their time as teammates.

The Lakers are reportedly holding off on hiring a new head coach, holding the option as a potential reward to incoming free agents.

For what it's worth, Scott has interviewed for the position three times this summer. For more on the Lakers' coaching search, see the stories below.
