Francisco Garcia declines 2014-15 player option

As expected, Houston Rockets wing Francisco Garcia has declined the 2014-15 player option on his contract, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Francisco Garcia has told team he is opting out, also as expected. He can return, much as he did last season.

As explained in the post below, this made perfect sense for Garcia, allowing him to seek more long-term guaranteed money with little risk of him not finding a home.
The Rockets may be interested in bringing Garcia back as a depth option but may need to renounce his rights to clear additional cap space this summer. While Garcia's cap hold is a modest $915,243, renouncing his rights would turn that cap hold into a minimum player cap hold, saving $400,000 in cap space.
