Report: Hornets promise No. 24 to Michigan forward Mitch McGary
Teams hoping to nab a talented big man with a late first round pick beware: the Charlotte Hornets have called dibs on Michigan's Mitch McGary.
I'm confident Mitch McGary has a promise in the 1st round. He's done just 1 workout. He's healthy. His camp has gone radio silent.

The latest mock drafts by ESPN and Draft Express both have McGary pegged as a late first-rounder, right around the Hornets' pick at the 24th selection.
Last year, in an injury-riddled season at Michigan, McGary averaged 9.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. When healthy, the 22-year-old power forward has a great scoring touch around the rim, and boasts excellent size for his position at 6-foot-10 and 263 pounds.
