Chandler Parsons thinks LeBron James will be 'in a different jersey next year' if Heat lose Finals

Robert Mayer / USA Today Sports

LeBron James is saying he will not opt out of the final year of his contract with the Miami Heat no matter what happens in the NBA Finals, but Houston Rockets small forward Chandler Parsons is not convinced.

During an appearance on ESPN's Sports Nation, Parsons said he believes James will opt out of his deal if Miami falls to the San Antonio Spurs.

I think if they would have won the championship it would have been a different story and they would have come back to do it again but he’s got so much responsibility, he’s obviously one of the best players if not the best player, I think them losing will make him make a move and opt out and you’ll see him in a different jersey next year.

Perhaps Parsons is hoping his words will get James looking at other options, including Parsons' Rockets. But Parsons is a restricted free agent this offseason and his future in Houston is very uncertain, so perhaps he should be more concerned with the jersey he will be wearing next season.
