Bosh on Stephenson: 'If getting into [LeBron's] head is averaging 27 points, I hope he stays there'

Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat are taking the high road with respect to the underlying trash talk in their Eastern Conference finals match-up with the Indiana Pacers.

On Monday, Bosh was asked about Pacers guard Lance Stephenson's comments about "getting into [LeBron James'] head" in Game 3 during the Heat's morning shootaround.

At first, Bosh was confused, asking the reporter, "what comments?" When the reporter elaborated, Bosh responded:

Yeah...I disagree. It’s LeBron, and he’s the best player in the world, so I think that’s enough. We don't get into talking and all that stuff. We just play the game. And if getting into his head is averaging 27 points, then I hope he stays there.

Another reporter followed up on Bosh's answer, asking if the reason why the Heat don't talk back is because of their experience, to which Bosh said:

We don’t really have any of those types of guys on this team. I mean, if that’s the guy’s thing, then that’s his thing. If that gets him going, I’m all for it. But I mean, we never really got into that in the first place. It takes all your energy to win a game. This is a good team that we’re facing. They were the best team in the East all season.

Finally, when a third reporter explained further that Lance's comments stemmed from LeBron responding to him, Bosh flatly stated: "cool...that's great."

On the series, James is averaging 24.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6 assists per game on 58 percent shooting, while Stephenson is averaging 17.3 points, 7 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game while shooting 55.3 percent from the field. James' Heat lead the series 2-1 over the Pacers.
