Gortat will not play for his native country of Poland during the FIBA World Cup this summer and will rather focus on his impending free agency, the Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Gortat had a superb season and almost averaged a double-double during his first, and maybe last, year in Washington. He was a major reason why the Wizards made a decent run in the playoffs after having a breakout regular season. The 30-year-old will head into the offseason as a free agent who will likely have a lot of suitors considering that he offers some veteran experience but can also serve as a viable starting five. Wherever he ends up, it seems reasonable to assume that he'll have an opportunity put up similar numbers to that of 2013-2014.
