Kevin Durant wins first NBA MVP award in landslide
The NBA has officially named Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant as the league's Most Valuable Player for the 2013-14 season.
Durant received 119 of 125 first-place votes. The other six went to LeBron James. Blake Griffin, Joakim Noah, and James Harden round out the top five.

Durant helped the Thunder to the second round of the postseason with a team-high 33 points in a 120-109 Game 7 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in their opening round series.
Durant led the league in scoring during the regular season with 32.0 points per game, becoming the first player since Allen Iverson in 2000-01 to win the scoring title and MVP award in the same season.
Durant's 41-game steak of scoring at least 25 points was the third-longest streak in NBA history. His streak ran from Jan. 7 through April 6.
Durant had finished second to LeBron James in voting each of the past two seasons.
