Steve Nash seeks advice from an old friend: Dirk Nowitzki

The fourth and latest installment of Grantland's phenomenal series "The Finish Line," which chronicles Steve Nash's struggle to continue playing, includes footage of the 40-year-old catching up with former teammate Dirk Nowitzki.

Both Nash and Nowitzki are in the final stages of their career, but the two are wrapping up their NBA legacies in very different ways.

While Nash is simply trying to ensure that he's healthy enough to play a single game in the final year of his contract, Nowitzki is about to embark on yet another playoff campaign that follows a season in which he posted numbers only slightly below what he was putting up in his prime. Hell, Nowitzki might still be in his prime.

During the episode, Nash asks his good friend, "What would you do if you were me?" and "Would you come back?" while the two are sitting down to dinner.

After some deliberation, Nowitzki responds: "I'm not sure, bro. I'm honest. What you go through, all that treatment, in and out [of the lineup]. I don't know if I could do it."
