Fears of Paul Pierce's ability to put a game out of reach became a reality for the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.

Having hit a go-ahead three-pointer in the closing stages of a contest against the Raptors earlier this season, Pierce came through for the Brooklyn Nets yet again in Game 1 of his team's first-round series.

With just over 50 seconds remaining, the Kansas product hit a fadeaway jumper over Patrick Patterson that extended the Nets' lead to seven. And luckily, Pierce was mic'd up for the shot, allowing us to hear his reaction.

Pierce finished the game with 15 points, nine of which came in the fourth quarter.

"You just get that feeling, you've been in those situations a number of times," said Pierce afterwards. "I don't get rattled in the fourth quarter, down the stretch or in playoff settings. I've been in pretty much every playoff setting that you can imagine. I just try to stay calm and bring my calmness to the game."
