Warriors coach Jackson: Starters will 'most likely' sit Wednesday

The Golden State Warriors can't move from the sixth seed in the Western Conference, and so Wednesday night's game against the Denver Nuggets matters little to them.

As such, don't expect to see their key players on the floor. Actually, probably just don't bother tuning in to this one, anyway, with how many other games actually matter on Wednesday night.

Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, in particular, could use the rest, as they rank 12th and 13th in the NBA in total minutes played this season, respectively, and both average over 35 minutes a night.

David Lee, meanwhile, has missed time due to injuries and returned just three games ago due to a hamstring issue. Andre Iguodala has missed time, too, but his absence is probably for rest rather than as an injury precaution.

Draymond Green may seem more curious a choice to rest, having averaged just 22.1 minutes on the year. However, he's already seen a 70 percent increase in his minutes over a season ago, hasn't missed a single game and has averaged 30.7 minutes over the past month.

The Warriors will be far more concerned with the outcome of games involving the Thunder and Clippers, as those results will determine who Golden State draws in round one.
