Glen Davis: Clippers' belief is 'supernatural'

Kelvin Kuo / USA TODAY Sports

There is something beyond scientific happening in the Los Angeles Clippers locker room. Can you feel it? Glen Davis can.

The Clippers' current seven-game win streak cannot be explained by the laws of nature, rather, their recent stretch of dominant basketball can only be attributed to forces outside the capabilities of the human race, according to Davis, at least.

“It’s one of those things you can’t really describe," Davis said Friday via Dan Woike of the Orange Country Register. "You can’t really put your finger on it, but it feels good. I feel it in the locker room. It’s a belief.

“It’s almost to the point of a supernatural belief.”

Apart from being hijacked by some sort of third-party force, there's a standard that the Clippers can both control and quantify that has undoubtedly contributed to their ascension up the Western Conference standings: hard work.

“We’re starting to believe, and not only believe, but put in the work. You combine the two, you’ve got a deadly combination of guys who can play the right way and who are just so athletic.

“When you mix athleticism and playing the right way every time with a great coach like Doc, the sky’s the limit.”

With just five games played in a Clippers uniform, Davis has only graced the Clippers with his philosophy for a little under two weeks, but that doesn't mean he hasn't already recognized that he's joined a group primed to make a serious run.
