Analysis:

This comes as no surprise, as the Magic stated prior to the beginning of the season that Turkoglu would not be a part of the team. In waiving Turkoglu, Orlando saves $6 million, as Turkoglu's $12 million deal becomes fully guaranteed if he's not waived by Jan. 7. Turkoglu played only 11 games for Orlando last season after dealing with several injuries as well as a 20-game suspension for violating the NBA's drug policy. He has been working out independently, however, and could sign with a team should there be any interest.
