Report: Kidd's blowup with Frank was filled with expletives

When it was announced that assistant Lawrence Frank had been demoted by head coach Jason Kidd, many wondered the reasoning behind the decision.

Frank, who coached Kidd in his playing days, was "re-assigned" to a role where he would no longer be on the Nets bench during games, and reports suggested it had to do with a blowup that between the two in early November.

A recent report from NBA.com falls in line with that suggestion, and gives an idea of just how heated things got during an argument that followed a loss in Orlando on Nov. 3.

Per NBA.com:

The denouement came in the now well-reported blowup Kidd had with Frank, where Kidd, according to a source, told Frank: "Sit the (bleep) down! I'm the coach of this (13-letter word) team! When you're on the bench, don't (bleeping) move!"

Frank did as he was told. Other coaches playing the Nets thought he was ill, he was so quiet during recent games.

This could mean Frank might not be with the Nets much longer. He has a six-year contract with the franchise, and unless Kidd is fired soon, it's hard to imagine Frank eagerly "giving reports" as his new role has been described.
