Blazers' Matthews dealing with hip issue, thinks Blazers are uncool

Portland Trail Blazers sharp-shooter Wesley Matthews is currently dealing with a hip issue, but is downplaying it's severity.

He reportedly tweaked his hip while shooting before the game but appeared just fine, playing 36 minutes and scoring 17 points on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

In fact, Matthews has been very good all season. He's averaging 16.7 points and shooting 51 percent on threes, trailing just a pair of Golden State Warriors for the league lead in 3-point field goals made.

However, Matthews doesn't think people appreciate the art of range. At 14-3, the Blazers sit atop the Western Conference but still aren't cool, to hear the Marquette product tell it.

A guy dealing with a bad hip is uncool. Makes sense. Sure can shoot the ball, though.
