Chris Wilcox is Clippers' fallback plan if Odom doesn't work out

While all indications continue to point to the Los Angeles Clippers eventually signing Lamar Odom, there appears to be at least one other player the franchise is interested in.

Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that Chris Wilcox, who Doc Rivers knows well from his time coaching the Celtics, is the Clippers' fallback plan should it ultimately pass on bringing back Odom.

A lack of familiarity between Odom and Rivers is cited as the reason for the Clippers' consideration of Wilcox, but sources close to ESPN say they would be "surprised" if Odom isn't back with the Los Angeles franchise for a third time.

Wilcox, who spent his first four season in the NBA with the Clippers, spent the 2012-13 season with the Celtics, where he averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds over 13.6 minutes in 61 games.
