Rajon Rondo was cheered by Celtics fans in Boston for parts of nine seasons, and though he's received warm receptions during four regular-season visits to TD Garden since being traded in 2014, the playoffs are a different story.

Now a member of the Chicago Bulls, Rondo was booed by the Celtics faithful in Game 1 of the teams' first-round series on Sunday, his first postseason game as a visiting player in Boston. But Rondo knows how this dance works, and doesn't take it personally.

"They have to boo me," he told reporters before Tuesday's Game 2, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. "I got on a red jersey."

Rondo added that he's actually been shown lots of love by Bostonites while walking the streets in his former NBA home.

In any event, he and the Bulls got the last word Sunday, coming away with a series-opening road upset of the top-seeded Celtics. Rondo finished with 12 points, seven rebounds, six assists, two steals, and a block.
