Nuggets' Danilo Gallinari: Out for remainder of season

Gallinari will not play during the Nuggets' final two games of the season, Chris Dempsey of Altitude Sports reports.

With the Nuggets eliminated from playoff contention, the team will opt to give 28-year-old Gallinari the rest of the season off to get a better look at some of their younger guys. Gallinari will finish the year averaging 18.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 33.9 minutes per game while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from beyond the arc. In his place, Wilson Chandler, Malik Beasley and Juancho Hernangomez will likely be the main beneficiaries of his absence.
