Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Hits game-winning three-pointer Sunday
Russell tallied 16 points (6-19 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and three steals over 34 minutes in Sunday's 110-109 win over the Timberwolves.
Analysis:
Playing while grieving the death of his grandmother, Russell understandably struggled through the game, but he came through when it counted most. The second-year guard drained the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer, only his second made shot from behind the arc on the night. Russell has compiled three straight double-digit scoring efforts after having shot just 1-for-9 against the Clippers back on April 1, and he should see his normal allotment of minutes over the final two games of the season.
