Rockets' Ryan Anderson: Hopeful to return Friday

Anderson (ankle) will not play Wednesday against Denver but hopes to return Friday versus Detroit, Calvin Watkins of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Wednesday will mark Anderson's sixth consecutive absence as he continues to battle a sprained right ankle. Troy Williams will get the start in his place, but coach Mike D'Antoni said he hopes to have Anderson back for Friday's contest in order to get him back up to speed before the postseason.
