Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis: Ruled out Tuesday vs. Bulls
Porzingis is dealing with a sore back and has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Bulls, Al Iannazzone of Newsday Sports reports.
Analysis:
This is the first we've heard of the injury, but the fact that the Knicks have already been ruled out of playoff contention could just mean they're taking an extra cautious approach with their upcoming star. Porzingis is joined by Lance Thomas (hip) on the injury report, so we could see Carmelo Anthony (back) play some power forward, while guys like Kyle O'Quinn and Maurice Ndour could see more minutes in the frontcourt as well. The next opportunity for Porzingis' return will be Thursday against the Wizards.
