Knicks' Derrick Rose: Game-time call Friday vs. Heat

Rose (knee) will be a game-time decision for Friday's tilt with the Heat, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis:

Coach Jeff Hornacek indicated prior to shootaround Friday that Rose would attempt to go through a workout, but it's unclear how he looked during the session. As such, it doesn't look like clarity on his status will arrive until closer to the 8:00 p.m. ET tip off, but it seems like a decent possibility that the point guard will miss his second straight game if he's feeling at all limited by the sore left knee in the hours leading up to the contest. Ron Baker, who played 40 minutes and provided six points, five rebounds and three assists in Wednesday's loss to the Heat, would likely pick up another start at point guard if Rose is out again.
