The Indiana Pacers are waiving guard Rodney Stuckey, league sources tell The Vertical's Shams Charania.
Stuckey is expected to miss the next four-to-six-weeks with a left patellar tendon strain.
By waiving him before April 10, the Pacers have nullified Stuckey's $7-million player option for next season, helping them clear extra cap space to potentially sign a big-name player to pair with Paul George.
Stuckey is in the midst of his worst statistical season as a pro, averaging career lows in points (7.2), rebounds (2.2), and steals (0.4), while shooting just 37.3 percent from the field. The 30-year-old has appeared in just 39 games this season, missing time with both an ankle and hamstring injury.
