Mavericks' J.J. Barea: Flirts with double-double Monday

Barea scored 10 points (3-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding eight assists, one rebound and one steal across 29 minutes in Monday's 92-91 loss to the Thunder.

Analysis:

The 29 minutes is more of an outlier than anything has Barea has played under 20 minutes in seven of his last ten contests. Over that span, he's shooting just 38 percent from the floor, which doesn't warrant any extra minutes. The extra run Monday night was due to Seth Curry's (shoulder) absence, and when he returns, Barea will be bumped back down on the depth chart, making him hard to own in fantasy formats.
