The Dallas Mavericks have been a model of NBA consistency in recent memory, always right in the thick of things in the Western Conference playoff picture.

Their streak of good fortune ended Monday in heartbreaking fashion, though, as a late 14-0 run by the Oklahoma City Thunder - capped by a game-winning jumper from All-Star guard Russell Westbrook - sent the Mavericks to their 42nd loss of the 2016-17 campaign.

As a result, Dallas is guaranteed to finish a regular season with a losing record for the first time since 1999-00 (40-42).
