Cavaliers' Iman Shumpert: Heads back to bench Wednesday
Shumpert (shoulder) will move to the bench for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, Cavaliers radio play-by-play announcer John Michael reports.
Analysis:
Shumpert has started 29 games this season with J.R. Smith missing a bunch of time with a thumb injury, but Smith is expected back with the top unit Wednesday. That pushes Shumpert back to the bench and could mean a few less minutes for the 26-year-old guard. Shumpert is averaging 7.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 36 games off the bench this season, so the demotion takes him off the fantasy radar in everything but deeper leagues.
