Raptors' Serge Ibaka: Modest output Thursday

Ibaka contributed 10 points (5-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one block across 27 minutes during Thursday's 123-102 loss to the Thunder.

Analysis:

Ibaka has been on five-game skid, averaging just 9.8 points on 37.3 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from distance to go along with 4.8 rebounds across 29.4 minutes per game -- though he's averaging an impressive 2.2 blocks per game over that stretch. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, this kind of inconsistent production is nothing new for Ibaka, who's had 12 games this season scoring in single digits (not including a zero point performance across 32 minutes) and 14 games scoring 20 or more points. While the 4.8 rebounds per game is poor even by Ibaka's standards, fantasy owners are likely used to Ibaka's sub-par rebounding despite his 6-10 245-pound frame, as his increase in three-point attempts throughout his career has led to a clear decrease in his offensive rebounding (per 36 minutes). Those who have Ibaka on their roster in a year-long format will likely just have to wait it out until he gets his groove again, though DFS players could take a gamble on him while his price is low and hope for a big game.
