Bulls' Dwyane Wade: Out for regular season with fractured elbow

Wade's recent MRI on his elbow revealed a small fracture and he's been ruled out for the rest of the regular season, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Wade took a hard fall during Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies and after undergoing additional testing, he's officially dealing with a fracture. He's been ruled out for the rest of the regular season, although if the Bulls do end up making the playoffs, there's a very small chance Wade could potentially push for a return. More likely, however, Wade's season is over and considering he's got a $23.8 million player option for the 2017-18 season, there's a chance his time in Chicago could also be coming to a close. He has no immediate plans to announce his intentions for next season, but with Wade officially out for the foreseeable future, look for the Bulls to rely more heavily on Jimmy Butler, while guys like Denzel Valentine and Paul Zipser should see an uptick in minutes on the wing. Wade is not expected to need surgery on the elbow.
