Bulls' Jimmy Butler: Drops double-double in Monday's win

Butler supplied 23 points (8-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 11 assists, six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in 38 minutes during Monday's 115-109 win over the Hornets.

Analysis:

Butler has dished out double-digit dimes four times in 2016-17, and this was one of his most well-rounded performances in recent memory. Given that the Bulls built themselves a hole in the playoff race with a recent five-game losing steak, Butler will almost certainly be asked to shoulder a substantial load on offense during the final month of the regular season. Furthermore, he is one of the top perimeter defenders in the league, and typically takes on the challenge of covering the opposing team's top wing. Butler is averaging career bests in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, threes, made field goals, and free throws made and attempted.
