Rondo: Bulls should stop experimenting with different lineups
Rajon Rondo is fed up with the Chicago Bulls' lack of consistency this season.
With his team now out of a playoff position following a four-game losing skid, Rondo says the Bulls need to find more continuity in their rotations if they hope to reach the postseason next month.
"There’s no exact answer, you gotta learn through experience," Rondo told CSN Chicago's Vincent Goodwill. "We go out there, we’re in sixth place (tied at that point in the East) … I don’t feel like … I feel like we should be trying to move up."
"(We should) continue to try to move up in seeding versus experimenting," Rondo said.
After trading longtime starter Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks last summer, Chicago has struggled to find an able replacement at the point, giving big minutes to four different guards at various points in the season.
"Just no consistency at all … Our team overall. It’s difficult," Rondo said. "We are losing some games in the fourth, some games we should win … I don’t know if we’re doing analytics, what we’re doing as far as who we play, who’s not. Everybody has to be ready when their name is called."
Rondo is one of several players who has gone from starter to DNP-CD under Fred Hoiberg in 2016-17, sitting out five straight contests for Chicago from December to January.
