Draymond slams refs, feels he's subject to 'different set of rules'

USA Today Sports

It was early in the third quarter of Friday`s road game against the Minnesota Timberwolves when Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green was assessed his 13th technical foul of the season for clocking Karl-Anthony Towns as he went up for a shot after the whistle was blown.

The Warriors went on to lose to Minnesota, 103-102, with Green questioning the technical he received afterwards, complaining about how the officials are seemingly out to get him.

"How I get a technical for trying to stop continuation?" Green asked, according to ESPN. "I don't know. I guess I got to play by different rules than the rest of the NBA. That one really sticks with me. What's that, my 11th tech? Thirteen? Damn. How many do I really got is the question? I don't know. Different set of rules."

Green finished with a line of five points, six rebounds, seven assists, and two steals on just 1-of-8 shooting in a team-high 38 minutes for the Warriors, who fell to 3-3 since Kevin Durant's injury on Feb. 28.

League rules dictate that any player with 16 technicals receive a one-game suspension, with every two additional technical fouls from then on out resulting in another automatic suspension of the same length.
