The 3-point shootout winner from All-Star weekend in New Orleans now holds an NBA record too.

Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon drilled his 180th shot from the perimeter as a reserve Saturday at the 8:19 mark of the fourth quarter against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies. That gives him the most makes from behind the arc in a single season by a player coming off the bench.

The previous record of 179 was set last season by Phoenix Suns forward Mirza Teletovic, who now competes for the Milwaukee Bucks. San Antonio Spurs forward Chuck Person's 164 3-pointers from the 1994-95 campaign had stood as the record until Teletovic broke it.

Gordon played 35 minutes against Memphis, scoring all of his 18 points on six made 3-pointers in a convincing 123-108 Houston victory. He entered the night averaging 17 points and shooting 38 percent from deep on the season.
