Heat's James Johnson: Tallies 19 off bench in loss

Johnson posted 19 points (9-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six assists, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals across 34 minutes in Friday's 110-99 loss to the Magic.

Analysis:

Coach Eric Spoelstra has made it a habit of putting players like Rodney McGruder and Luke Babbit in the starting lineup, then quickly replacing them with Johnson and Wayne Ellington. Johnson is posting career-high numbers this year, and its a wonder that he doesn't get the starting nod more often. Johnson is up there with Lou Williams as one of the league's premier sixth men, and he will be a key player in Miami's struggle to make the playoffs.
